It’s been a minute since I did a “Recent Reads” post! I have read 23 books since my last book post. Here are some of the highlights!
Empyrean Series- Fourth Wing, Iron Flame and Onyx Storm– You guys, I cannot remember reading a book series this good in a long time! These books are absolutely amazing. If you only read one book recommendation from me, this would be it. I happened to stumble upon them at the library and I am so glad I did! They do have a spicy love story so, if you don’t like that, I would not recommend them. But if you don’t mind spice in your books I highly recommend! I would give these books 5/5, maybe even 10/5 because they’re that good!
Holly and Nick Hate Christmas– For those of you who like a clean romance, this is a good choice for you. It was like reading a cute Hallmark movie! This was a fun story and an easy read. I would give this a 5/5.
Anne of the Island– I have been reading through the Anne of Green Gables series and they are so good! I can’t believe I have never read them before. I would give this book a 5/5.
The Lord of the Rings– We watched the LOTR series over Christmas break and that gave me the urge to want to reread the books. I was in high school the last time I read them! I only reread the Fellowship of the Ring this round but will read the other two soon. These are classic and the set I linked looks like a good box set! I would give these a 4/5.
The Bookshop on the Shore– This was a nice and easy book to read. I didn’t think I would like it when I started reading it, but it turned out well! I would give this book a 4/5.
Wuthering Heights– I had never read this book before, it’s a classic and everyone always raves about the love story. I’m a huge Jane Austen and Charlotte Bronte fan so I figured I would love this book. I could not believe how psychotic the characters are! If “unhinged” was a word back then, that’s how this book would be described. I still think people should read it because it’s a classic, but I was very disappointed with the story. I would give this book a 3/5.
Anne of Windy Poplars– The fourth book in the Anne of Green Gables series did not disappoint! I need to get the next one so I can continue reading the series. I would give this book a 5/5.
The Honeycrisp Orchard Inn- I liked this book a lot. It’s like a Hallmark movie but with some extra spice. I would give this book a 5/5.
