I absolutely love to read! One of my favorite things to do is go to the library, walk around and find something that looks interesting. Here are some recent books I have read and my thoughts on them (scaled 1-5, 5 being the best).

The Strawberry Pancake House by Laurie Gilmore- This is the fourth book in this series and I like them all a lot. They are like a Hallmark movie but extra spicy. I would give this book 5/5.
Betrayal in Time by Julie McElwain- This is a book series I randomly discovered at the library and they are so good! It wraps an 1800’s period drama with a murder mystery. I would rate this book 5/5.
Those Villa Street Lutherans by Nathan R Pope- This book has a bit of sentimental value to me because I grew up in this church. It was very interesting learning the whole history of First Evan. While I thought this book might be a bit hard to read because it’s a non fiction, Pastor Pope is very funny and he kept it entertaining. I would rate this book 5/5.
An Improper Agreement by Audra Wells- This book has Bridgerton vibes but without the spice. While I like spice in my books once in a while, I appreciate that this one had the love story without getting graphic. I will definitely be reading more of this author’s books. I would give this book a 5/5.
The Girl From Berlin by Ronald H. Balson- I thought this book would start out in Germany but instead it starts out in Italy. I thought, “I can see that working because they’re both in Europe.” But then it moves over to Chicago and then I didn’t know how it would all tie together. This book is so good it was hard to put down! I would rate this book 5/5.
Remember Me by Mary Balogh- This is an 1800’s romantic story. It was nice to read and I enjoyed it. I would rate this book 4/5.
The Proof of the Pudding by Rhys Bowen- This is a murder mystery set in England in the 1930’s. I would rate this book 4/5.
The Darling Dahlias and the Eleven O’Clock Lady by Susan Witting Albert- Somehow I chose to read two books back to back set in the 1930’s! But this one was set in Alabama. Another murder mystery, it took me a while to figure out who did it and I was compelled to keep reading. I would give this one a 4/5.
These are all of my recent reads! I’m happy I didn’t get any bad ones this time! Have you read any of these? Leave a comment, I would love to read it! And make sure to sign up for emails, and follow me on Instagram, LTK and Pinterest for all of my latest posts!
