
Summer is the perfect time of year to make strawberry short cake! I made a healthier version of this yummy dessert where I swapped white sugar with honey.

Ingredients
cooking spray
1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 cup honey
2 tsp baking powder
2/3 cups milk
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
your favorite berries and whip cream

Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray an 8″x8″ pan with cooking spray.
- Mix all ingredients, except berries and whip cream, in a mixer.
- Pour mixture into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Once done, let cool for 10 minutes in the pan on a wire rack. Loosen the sides of the cake and invert onto the wire rack. Cool for 30 minutes.
- Cut into 16 pieces and serve with your favorite berries and whip cream.
- Enjoy!
