4 Ways to Style a Yellow Skirt

Yellow is on trend this season and I am loving this happy color! Here are 4 ways to style a yellow skirt.

First, I chose this lemon print skirt to write this post because it’s something I already had in my wardrobe, but all of these looks would still work even if your skirt is solid yellow, a gingham, striped or a different print.

Left: I styled this look with the matching top because, bonus, it’s a set! I styled this Chicwish top and skirt with a cute Chicwish straw and lemon bag, Steve Madden neutral heels, and Kate Spade yellow bee earrings (similar here).

Right: This yellow skirt also pairs well with a classic white button-up, white earrings I got from a local artist (similar here from the same artist), this straw and lemon bag again, and white Jack Rogers sandals.

Left: I love to play with color! This yellow skirt, a pink button-up from J.Crew Factory (similar here), large pink flower earrings I thrifted (similar here), a vintage pink Coach bag (similar here) and pink Madewell mules (similar here) make a pretty and fun “pink lemonade” look.

Right: Another play with color! Lastly, I wore a light blue Banana Republic Factory button-up (similar here), fun blue flower earrings from a local artist (similar here), a neutral Le Tanneur Emilie bag, and blue and white J.Crew floral heels (similar here) with this yellow skirt.

Did you notice I used the “outfit sandwich” trick to tie all of these fun colors together? Normally, if you “sandwich” colors, such as the pink on top, yellow in the middle, and pink on bottom, you’ll get a cohesive look. I also wanted to pair this skirt with green. How fun would that be?!

Which look is your favorite? Leave a comment, I would love to read it! And make sure to sign up for emails, and follow me on LTK, Pinterest and Instagram for all of my latest posts!
