I love finding cute craft projects that I can do with my son while also creating decor for the home that can be used every year, and then passed down as an heirloom. Recently, my son and I made this cute heart garland together. It was very easy and fun to make! Here’s everything you need for this project and step by step instructions.

What you’ll need:
- felt- I chose 4 different colors (red, light pink, dark pink and white)
- fabric scissors
- rope or ribbon
- hot glue gun
- marker
- heart shaped cookie cutters- I used three different shapes for variety

- Trace the hearts on the felt, making sure you trace 2 to make 1 heart.
- Cut out the hearts.
- Hot glue each matching heart set together to make 1 heart.
- Cut 2 slits near the top of the heart.
- Pull the rope or ribbon through the hearts, spacing them as you like.
- Hang up the garland and enjoy!
I also did a video tutorial on Instagram if you would like to watch it.
And that’s it! This project took less than an hour for my son and I to do together. Make sure to follow me on all my social channels- blog email, Instagram, Pinterest and LTK- for all of my latest posts!
