We’ve all heard about the importance of self care- if you don’t feel well how can you take care of your loved ones well? I have found this especially true to me after I had my son. I was so busy taking care of my family that I didn’t have time for myself- a very common problem mothers have. After living a while like this I realized something had to change for me because I am important, too!
Self care can be as big as spending the day at the spa or as little as enjoying a cup of coffee alone in the quiet. After I had my son I realized how important my “me” time is to me and I take advantage of as many little moments to myself as I possibly can. One of the things I really enjoy is waking up early and drinking coffee in bed while watching a little TV. It’s a very small thing (I only do this for about 20 minutes) but afterwards I feel refreshed and ready for my day!
