Winter Decorating: A Few Easy Steps for a Simple and Inviting Winter Home (Small Space & Mom Friendly!)

Now that Christmas is all packed away (I’m a ‘get rid of it’ right after New Year’s person myself) it’s time to decorate for winter! After Christmas I like to keep my space clean and simple while still paying homage to the season. Here are a few of my tips on how to keep your space simple but also warm and inviting for winter!

  • Declutter- If something has been sitting around for a while because you haven’t had time to deal with it because of the holidays, now’s the time. Put it in its rightful place or get rid of it. If it sticks around any longer who knows how long it will stay in your way!
  • Add in seasonal greens- Place mini faux pine trees in your space to pay homage to winter and to also add in that pop of green that instantly livens up a space! Adding seasonal greens to a coffee table, bookcase, etc. makes a home feel cozy and inviting.
  • Incorporate your coziest pillows and blankets- Adding your warmest blankets and some velvet pillows to your space adds beautiful dimension and gives off extra cozy vibes. You’ll thank yourself on a cold night when you’re all cuddled up!

That’s it for now! I hope these tips help you create a simple, warm and inviting space that you love and brings you joy! I’m going furniture shopping with my sister tomorrow. What are you doing this weekend? Comment below, I would love to hear what you’re up to!
