Happy Monday, y’all! I’m very thankful Peter and I live next to a resort town so we can easily go on a mini getaway on short notice- usually when we notice the weekend is supposed to be nice 😉
For a resort town mini vacation you only need to pack a few good basics- a swimsuit, a pair of shorts, a couple of cute tops, a comfy pair of sandals, a hat, a sweater, a pair of jeans, a set of cute pajamas, tropical inspired body mist, sunscreen and a book. So here’s what I packed!
Bikini- You have to have a Lilly Pulitzer bikini! Here is a similar top and bottom. I LOVE my Lilly swimsuit! It’s very well made and always looks perfect at the beach.
Shorts- My Hollister shorts are easy and comfy- perfect for a relaxing weekend! A similar pair can be found here.
Tops- I packed a light weight and super soft long sleeve tee for chilly nights- you can find a similar one from Target here. I also packed a fun, tropical print shirt for the day- a similar one can be found here. What is more perfect than a palm print shirt in the Summer?! I also packed this super soft tee from Aerie- it’s called Real Soft for a reason!
Sandals- My Jack Rogers Jelly Alana Flip Flops are amazingly comfortable and can be walked around in all day. Find a similar color way of these sandals here (I also have this pair in gold- they’re such a good sandal to have)!
Hat- A baseball hat always looks cute and keeps the sun off your face- you can find a similar one from Vineyard Vines here.
Sweater- I also packed a sweater for chilly nights on the lake- the Surf Sweater from Aerie is perfect for this! The weave and fit is loose so you won’t get too warm wearing it. Plus, it’s called Surf Sweater- what is better to wear at the beach?!
Jeans- You can’t forget your white jeans!
Pajamas- Cute pajamas are also a must- here is a similar top and bottom.
Body Mist- A vacay inspired body mist should also be in your suitcase! This one from Pink will be perfect!
Sunscreen- I chose to bring a tanning oil because I need as much of a tan as I can get!
Book- Kate Spade’s All in Good Taste is a book I always love looking at. You can never be too prepared for a party!
