Hey, y’all! Now that Summer is here it means that festival season has started! Wisconsin likes to cram as many as they possibly can into three short months before winter returns. Nice weather is a very short window of time here!
Stylish, cool and comfortable are three factors you should consider when dressing for one of these festivals. You want to look good (obviously!), fight the 90 degree weather with high humidity (good luck with your hair!) and you want to wear something that you can stand in all night for hours.
A fun colored top, lace shorts, an easy to carry wristlet and comfortable wedges is one outfit that meets all these requirements! Milwaukee is known as the City of Festivals and no wonder why- there are so many to choose from! We definitely like to party with a festival almost every weekend in the Summer. Here are a few of my favorites you should definitely check out!
Summerfest- Running from June 27th to July 8th this year, Summerfest is the largest music festival in the world! There are countless acts and types of music you can see, amazing food, fun shopping and so much more!
Bastille Days- Running from July 12-15 this year, Bastille Days is my favorite festival of the Summer! It is the one of the nation’s largest French themed festivals that offers the best food, fun acts to see and shopping. We even have our own mini Eiffel Tower! Plus, this one is free- who doesn’t love that?!
Brady Street Festival- On July 28th, Brady Street becomes more than a regular street. Four stages are packed with live entertainment from local bands to BMX stunt teams, the street is lined with vendors, crafters and fun stuff for the kids!
Irish Fest- From July 16-19 is the world’s largest Irish cultural festival. This is a great chance to listen to traditional music, watch dancers jigging and see many different Irish exhibits- it’s so much fun!
