Hi, y’all! I hope everyone had a good week- I sure did! I had the wonderful experience of watching my sister marry the man of her dreams- I couldn’t be happier for the both of them! It was a simple wedding in Chicago and it was magnificent!
They chose to have a Valentine color scheme of pinks, reds, gold and white for their wedding because it was so close to Valentine’s Day. My sister wanted me to wear this beautiful skirt from Skylar Belle found here. I love this skirt and got so many compliments- I felt like a princess wearing it! It is very comfortable and I can’t get enough of it- I practically want to live in it! I did have to shorten it about 8″ because I am so petite but it was such an easy fix I chose to do it myself.
The sweater we paired with this skirt is from J.Crew and was a birthday gift from my wonderful sister a couple of months ago- they currently are sold out but how cute would it be to pair this sweater with this skirt?!
The reception was held at Schubas Tavern in Chicago and it was a great place to have it! Everyone who attended had a great time and it was a very nice venue. I would highly recommend having an event there if you are in the area!
Congratulations to my amazing sister Marissa and her new husband Matt! I couldn’t be happier for the both of you and wish y’all a blessed and happy marriage!

P.S. My headband is from Charming Charlie- I have blogged about it before here. My sister’s wedding dress is from ModCloth and can be found here– it is a beautiful dress. She loved it and everyone else loved it, too! Her shoes are from Kate Spade and can be found here. She wore them all day and night and found them to be very comfortable- I want a pair for myself!
