Hi, y’all! It has been extremely wet and rainy here in Wisconsin lately which I will happily take over a ton of snow! Muddy puddles may deter some people but what I see is an excellent reason to break out my new Hunter boots!

My wonderful husband bought these Hunter boots for me as my Christmas present from Bloomingdale’s and he picked an excellent color! I love wearing a bright, bold color when the weather is dreary and grey. I was worried about the shaft height of the Original Tall Gloss Rain Boot because of my petite stature and was very happy to learn that they hit just below my knee. The shaft opening was also a concern I had but I was pleasantly surprised with how narrow that turned out to be- they don’t look too big at all! I am also very happy about how comfortable they are- I have lesser quality rain boots and these are infinitely better. I can walk without them feeling too heavy or feel like I’m clomping around because the shaft is too big. I will definitely be buying more pairs in the future!

I paired my Hunter boots with simple navy and white to pop their color even more. The top I am wearing is from J.Crew. I bought it a few years ago and it is a shirt I reach for over and over again! You can find a similar one here.
I am wearing American Eagle’s Denim X Jegging. I wear these jeans all the time because they are very comfortable and they keep their shape- these are a great staple to keep in your closet! Plus they come in “short” sizes which I greatly appreciate!
The Coach watch I have is from Jared– a birthday present my husband bought me a couple of years ago. I wear it constantly! I have also blogged about this watch before here.

I recently decorated our entry way- it was definitely pushed to the side after we moved in! I bought this adorable tufted bench from Homegoods and pillow from T.J.Maxx so people can sit comfortably when they take their shoes off. I bought this nice rug from Target, found here, where people can leave their wet shoes.
The ladder seen in the above pictures was found in my garage rafters by my husband, left by the old owner of our house. When he brought it down I told him “that NEEDS to go in the house. It will make an excellent rustic blanket ladder!” The red and white plaid blanket and the dark brown faux fur blanket are from Homegoods. The white faux fur blanket is from Target- you can find a similar one here.
How has the weather been by y’all- rainy, snowy or dry?
